GPSRouteX Features
GPSRouteX is loaded with GPS routing and navigation features such as:
- display current GPS time (UTC and local), position, and velocity data
 
- display satellites in view and in use
 
- user-selectable units for distance, speed, altitude
 
- display distance, bearing, desired track (DTK), velocity-made-good (VMG), estimated time enroute (ETE), and estimated time of arrival (ETA) to selected waypoint
 
- display cross-track error as numeric distance, and as an aviation-style "course deviation indicator" with selectable sensitivity
 
- create one or more data files of Waypoints using any latitude/longitude format (degrees, minutes, seconds, any combination of decimal fractions)
 
- import Waypoints from Google Earth KML or GPX files
 
- create custom routes from defined waypoints
 
- import routes from Google Earth KML (perfect for importing driving directions!) or GPX files
 
- activate a selected route segment, or auto-locate on the nearest route segment based on current GPS position
 
- auto-sequence along route: as you pass one waypoint, the next route segment activates
 
- reverse a route with one click
 
- display total distance remaining to end of route and destination ETA
 
- user-selectable alerts of waypoint arrival
 
- optional Growl notifications and spoken warnings:
	
	- fix acquisition

- choose spoken waypoint names or comments at waypoint arrival - turn Google Earth driving directions into turn-by-turn spoken directions from your laptop!
 
- list nearest waypoints to current position
 
- export your waypoints and routes to Google Earth KML files, or export all your open routes and waypoints at once to one GPX file
 
- choose GPSd's preferred GPS connection protocol - NMEA if you need to use the GPS with other devices, or Binary mode for enhanced performance (if available)
 
- floating MiniNav window to integrate GPSRouteX's route navigation with other programs for moving map display
 
- synchronise your system clock to GPS time - accurate time anywhere in the world!
